Baked kale chippies! A delicious and nutritious snack.
+ 1-2 bunches of kale
+ olive oil
+ sea salt
+ red pepper flakes (option)
+ wash kale thoroughly
+ de-stem leaves by cutting the kale along the rib of each leaf and into squares or rectangles
+ dry pieces completely before baking or they will steam and become soggy (30-60 minutes)
+ lay pieces on a baking sheet or parchment paper
+ drizzle with olive oil
+ sprinkle with sea salt and red pepper flakes for flavoring
+ bake for 20-25 minutes at 275
Be careful not to leave them in the oven too long or they will burn. Similarly, do not remove them too early or they will not be crispy enough.
