how to make lean turkey meatballs

I don’t mean to brag but these herby, lean turkey meatballs smelled so good before they were even cooked.

Ingredients:

  • 1.5-2 lbs Jennie-o 93/7 lean ground turkey
  • 1/2 onions, chopped
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 3/4 cup chopped fresh basil
  • 2 tsp oregano
  • 1-2 tbsp fresh thyme leaves
  • 2 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp red chili flakes (or more)
  • 2 cracked eggs
  • 3/4 tsp salt and pepper
  • Options: 1 tbsp Parmesan cheese, 1/4 cup bread crumbs

Directions: combine all ingredients. roll up mixture into 1-1.5″ balls and grill on pan with a little olive or avocado oil.  Serve with a bed of raw spinach!
