My first project in the Nourish Hour series of this blog will be all about digestion. Digestion is a major bodily process that is often overlooked. Yet it is the most important factor that prevents our body from obtaining the nutrients it needs to keep itself running. I was inspired to emphasize on this topic for everyone’s benefit because of a special family member who often comes to me with questions regarding gas, bloating, and other discomforts — which are just a few signs of poor digestion that can lead to more serious conditions. While science is always changing, I will continuously make updates based on the latest medical nutrition therapy findings for all things related to digestion from digestive enzyme supplementation to probiotics and food allergies and more. What better way to help everyone else I know by starting with possibly treating the ones closest to me? It’s all good practice.
